Postcard sent by my parents from Madeira, Portugal, an island stop on a cruise trip. Highlights of their trip included riding “in a wooden sleigh down a steep street with cars in it”, and visiting Casablanca in Morocco, where they “used [their] French the whole time [and] went for a drink in Rick’s Café which was fixed up to look just like the movie set”. (Aside: Casablanca is my parents’ favourite movie.)
